Designers are our Future

The students of International Lifestyle Studies travel the globe, but our Lecturers get this possibility as well. This year. Plzeň a city of the Tsjech republic, is sharing the hostmanship of the European Culture Capital. This is a great honour and Pilsn is giving a great example by showing the world their upcoming talents and cultural heritage. Due to this event, the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art invited multiply university, art academy’s, Design/Art institutes, museum and organisations in this field. I was one of the invitees. "Since five years International Lifestyle Studies is part of the Ambiente fair; worlds’ largest consumer goods fair. ILS students host daily trend tours, twice a day, in hall 4 (Dining section) and hall 11 (Living section) and go ‘hunting’ for new signals of trends in the morning that they then write about on their website: The students make their own trend book with the five most relevant consumer trends for the living industry (downloadable on their website), prior to Ambiente, and explain the trends by showing product examples, found at Ambiente, in the trend tours. Why do all the young ladies in my neighbourhood have turquoise hair? Is Seapunk a kind of sushi or a new rock band? Should I be worried about the fact that teens seem to believe in unicorns? This book dives into the brave new world of a young and new generation to help you answer some of these questions.
